Buddhist Still Life
Group drawing with some friends. We setup the dinning table with a bunch of items
then quietly sketched away the hours, was a pleasant and relaxing day.
Here are some Buddhist items I drew, a vajra and bell,
first pass with sanguine charcoal, second drawing darker shadows
and highlights added.

It's been a while since posting the underpainting to this piece.
So figured it's time to show some progress. Planning to spend a few more hours tomorrow to finish things up before taking another picture, then adding the cover text.

Painting's Home at Last!

A couple photos my client sent me of my painting hanging in his living room.
It's satisfying to see it in the environment it was intended for. When starting the project He supplied me with sample colours. Everything from the wall colours, to floor boards, wallpaper and fabrics. I mixed and added those colours throughout the painting.

Watering Pitcher

A quick sketch of a watering pitcher in my backyard.
Spent about 20-30 min working on this, trying to capture it
before the light changed too drastically. Time started was about 6:15pm.
Drawn with conte pencils.
